Visa-free travel to Reublic of Belarus
According to the Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus “On establishment of visa-free entry and exit of foreign nationals", entry and exit of citizens from 80 countries in a visa-free regime for 5 days is made only through the border checkpoint of the Republic of Belarus National Airport “Minsk”.
The extablished order of a visa-free entry and exit through the airport is not applied to persons, arriving to Belarus by air from the Russian Federation, as well as intending to depart to airports of the Russian Federaion (these flights are internal and do not require the border inspection).
The Decree is also not applied to foreigners, who have officilal tours: diplomatic, business, special and other passports are not taken into account.
To entry the Republic of Belarus in a visa-free regime through the border checkpoint of the Republic of Belarus National Airport “Minsk” a foreigner should have the following:
- Valid pasport or other document, used for travelling abroad;
- money: for each day of staying in foreign currency or Belarusian roubles, which is equivalent to at least 2 Basic amounts;
- medical insurance for the amount of at least 10000 Euro, acting at the territory of Belarus.
For citizens from Vietnam, Haiti, Gambia, Honduras, India, China, Lebanon, Namibia, Samoa there is also an obligatory additional requirement to have a valid multiple entry visa of the EU or Schengen states in their travelling document with a mark on entry into their territory, as well as air tickets confirming their departure from National Airport "Minsk" within 5 days from the date of their entry.
