A webinar on the topic "Practical certification and market surveillance practice in the European Union" was held on 13 October 2020.  During the webinar the following points were presented and formulated for the listeners:

• Learned the principles of the functioning of the EU single market and common approaches to security in the European Union
• Learned the roles of the main economic operators of the market and their responsibilities
• Learned about the types and purposes of standardization and about the different types of standards
• Got acquainted with EU Directives and harmonized standards related to them.
• Considered the concept of “Authorized body” on certification.
• Got acquainted with СЕ-Marking
• Learned about the main components of the conformity assessment procedure.
